With more than **40 years of experience carrying a handgun—both open and concealed—**I’ve built my life around one mission: teaching others how to stay safe, aware, and prepared.
My journey began in the U.S. Army as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician and Military Policeman, where precision, discipline, and calm under pressure weren’t optional—they were survival skills. After my military service, I spent 33 years with the largest sheriff’s department in the world, serving as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, and K-9 Handler with the Special Weapons Bureau. I’ve trained alongside and instructed some of the finest officers in the field, developing a lifetime of real-world insight that goes far beyond classroom theory.
Real-World Training for Real-World Situations
In law enforcement, experience sharpens instincts. You learn to read body language, spot concealed weapons, and recognize the subtle cues that signal danger. These aren’t lessons you can get from a book—they’re earned through observation, repetition, and hard experience.
Through my courses, I teach more than how to shoot—I teach you how to see what’s coming. You’ll develop the awareness, confidence, and mindset to respond effectively long before a threat becomes unavoidable.
Preparedness Saves Lives
After decades of witnessing the aftermath of violence, one pattern stands out: victims are almost always caught off guard. Whether armed or not, anyone can take simple, proactive steps that dramatically increase their odds of survival. Those are the same principles I taught my own family—and now I teach them to my students.
Hands-On, No-Nonsense Instruction
My philosophy is straightforward: train the way you live. No endless slideshows or wasted time in classrooms. You’ll gain hands-on skills in situational awareness, firearms handling, concealed carry tactics, and defensive decision-making under stress. My goal is to make sure you leave training not only more capable but more confident in your ability to protect yourself and others.
